This is another in a long line of iMac which I bought and is much better than what I have to upgrade. They are on the rise, with each new receiving and receive compliments all the time when people have the chance to see him in action. My came with Leopard installed OS10, which had some performance problems, but the $ 10 upgrade from Apple's Snow Leopard to have been immediately solved all problems. The Compaq CQ2009 is not an upgrade of RAM, or so they say. It has slots for more RAM (it) with a concert. If you have a PC you can not add memory? I ended up always someone who can add memory.

I bought this originally because it came with XP. It comes with XP Home, XP Pro, would have been better, but for the person who understands me, because that was OK. I do not just buy Vista at all costs, and I could not wait for Windows 7. Microsoft knows Vista is terrible, that is why they have to replace it in the fall. Do not buy Vista.

I found this little gem just sitting out in the cold. It’s a Compaq deskpro 466 with: AMD AM486DX2-66 64MB EDO (came with 8 built-in) 24X CDROM (came with 2X) 1.44MB 3.5″ floppy 630MB Quantum Soundblaster 16 Value (came with SB32) Integrated Cirrus Logic CL-GD5434 1MB Integrated AMD PC-Net 10base-T NIC When I found it and booted it up, it had some half-assed Windows 3.1 install with a cool Alaskan Wildlife screensaver. I later installed the Windows 98 install you see in the video. For its age, it’s useful for email, IM, IRC, and sshing. Filmed with an LG Rumor

I bought a single-core models like this for personal use, and was so excited, I have one of these two basic models for use in my "day job. I wanted to test how these beasties up against other full-sized computer that we use. I started using Ubuntu Linux, but plan to try XP on it as well.

The processor works fine, but the software is not compatible with Vista other hardware I have, I have the strength to purchase new equipment that is compatible with Vista. Vista is a big rip off. Vista should be banned.
