I would like to offer some advice about putting your computer to sleep. I don’t mean wrapping it up in a warm blanket and reading it some Harry Potter. Normally called hibernation or standby, it is a feature that allows your computer to enter a power saving state without having to turn it off.

I built my desktop PC myself and as a result it has taken me 2.5 years to work out how to enable this feature. Up until now I had just assumed that it didn’t have the feature.
